Every service below is performed by YMS employees, not subcontracted. One point of contact, one standard, one accountable party.
Yacht Maintenance
Scheduled mechanical and systems work, so the boat is ready the moment you are.
A vessel that runs is worth more than a vessel that sits. Scheduled maintenance is the difference.
We keep your boat fully operational, current on service, and ready to enjoy at a moment’s notice. Our technicians work to a written schedule built around your vessel and how you actually use it, not a generic calendar.
The work below happens whether or not you are in town, and you see it in the app after every visit. That record matters twice: once while you own the boat, and again when you sell it.
On every scheduled visit
Engine and generator fluid inspections
Engine and generator startup procedures
Main panel systems evaluation
Weekly vessel inspections
Tank level monitoring
Seacock exercising
Sea strainer cleaning
Scheduled and seasonal
Engine and generator service scheduling
A/C and acid flushing
Bottom cleaning
Corrosion prevention
Basic mechanical repairs
Warranty work coordination
How often does a yacht need maintenance?
Most vessels in South Florida need attention weekly or every other week. Salt water, sun, and humidity work on a boat continuously, so the interval is driven by the environment rather than by engine hours. We set the schedule with you when we survey the vessel.
Do you handle warranty work?
Yes. We coordinate warranty claims and scheduling with the builder or dealer so you are not managing that correspondence yourself.
Exterior Detailing
Wash, polish, and ceramic coating on a schedule built around how you use the boat.
Show-ready is a maintenance schedule, not a one-time detail.
Exterior detailing on a custom schedule keeps you looking show-ready year round. Our detailing team handles wash downs, compounding and polish, ceramic coating, brightwork, and the cosmetic maintenance that keeps gelcoat and paint from going dull in the Florida sun.
Most owners pair a weekly wash with a longer polish or coating cycle two to four times a year. We build that calendar around the vessel and the dockage, then hold to it.
How often should a yacht be washed in Florida?
Weekly for a boat kept on the water in South Florida. Salt spray and rain spotting are constant, and a weekly wash is far cheaper than the compounding needed to recover neglected gelcoat.
Interior Detailing
Laundry, deep clean, and turnover so the boat is ready before you arrive.
You should not come back from a trip and think about the laundry.
Interior cleaning is part of every management program. Between trips we handle the deep clean, the linens and laundry, the galley, the heads, and the turnover so the boat is ready before you step aboard rather than after.
For owners who entertain on short notice, this is the service that makes a same-day departure possible.
Project Management
Yard periods, refits, and vendor work, overseen by someone who answers to you.
A yard period goes wrong in the gap between the owner and the vendor. We stand in that gap.
We personally oversee and manage projects so the work being performed is done correctly and efficiently. That means sourcing and vetting the yard or vendor, agreeing the scope in writing, being physically present while the work happens, and inspecting it before anyone signs off.
You get one point of contact and one accountable party. We are not paid by the yard, so our interest is the same as yours.
What we oversee
Yard coordination and haul-out management
Refit and repower oversight
Vendor sourcing, quoting, and scheduling
On-site quality inspection before sign-off
Owner representation and progress reporting
Captain and Crew
Insurance-verified, background-checked captains scheduled for any trip.
Sit back and enjoy the day with your guests. Someone else runs the boat.
We schedule a qualified captain for any trip, from an afternoon on the water to a delivery up the coast. Our captains are insurance-verified and background-checked before they ever step aboard a vessel we manage.
Because the same network of about fifty captains and crew works across the boats in our care, the person running your vessel is usually someone who already knows it.
Available crew
Licensed captains for day trips and deliveries
Deckhands and mates
Stewards and interior crew
Trip assistance and guest support
Are your captains insured?
Yes. Every captain we place is insurance-verified and background-checked before working on a vessel we manage.
Concierge
Flights, dockage, reservations, and the arrangements that happen off the boat.
The trip does not start at the dock.
From flights to hotels to dockage, we make every part of the trip as easy as possible. Our client coordination team handles the arrangements on land so the day on the water is the only thing you have to think about.
What we arrange
Private jet arrangements
Commercial flight coordination
Trip planning and itinerary development
Dockage arrangements
Ground transportation
Hotel booking
Restaurant reservations
Nightlife and daytime activity recommendations
Water toy rental arrangements
Hurricane Planning
Your insurer wants a filed plan. We source it, document it, and execute it.
Two red flags with black centers is the signal for a hurricane warning. By the time it flies, your plan needed to already exist.
Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, and most carriers will not let you change a named-storm plan once a storm has a name. That means the work happens in May, not in September.
We source the right hurricane plan and location for your vessel, keep the documentation your insurer requires, send renewal notifications before they lapse, and handle the delivery to the designated location when a storm is coming. Very few management companies in South Florida offer this, and it is one of the reasons owners move their boats to us.
What we handle
Hurricane plan sourcing and location securing
Documentation management for your insurer
Renewal notifications before the plan lapses
Hurricane readiness preparation of the vessel
Delivery to the designated hurricane location
Does my insurance require a hurricane plan in Florida?
Most policies written on vessels kept in Florida require a named-storm plan, and many require it in writing with a named responsible party. Requirements vary by carrier and by vessel, so the plan we source is built to the language in your policy.
When should a hurricane plan be arranged?
Before the season opens on June 1. Carriers generally will not permit changes once a storm has been named, and the safe-harbor locations that matter are contracted well before peak season in August through October.
Who moves the boat when a storm is coming?
We do. Delivery to the hurricane location is part of the service, executed by our own captains inside the window your plan specifies.
